On the way to the top

Here we go.

Lot of advancements happened.
First of all, the member's number. Due to the agressive email marketing, we got 248 members now. Thats a number :)

In a top100-type site the members gives the stabile, daily vistors. It is because the are in competition to be in the first 3 of the list. Today our top three are the Exodus WoW Server, Extreme Mob Wars, Crimson Moon.

The other source, the search engines are a dependent part. Situation is, that the more members you have on the top100 site, the more backlinks you have, so you are in better place in SEs. That means more visitors.

My problem is that the biggest game sites, like Imperia Online, Galactic Imperia, Aegis, Toxic WoW, Omerta and so on, don't want to waste their votes on a small but fast growing site, like MMORPG X TOP100.

So, it is Devil's Circle : the more member you have the better place in Search Engines, and the better place in Search Engines, the bigger and more vote-giver members coming.
I think the best method to start a top100 site, is first find members, and reach a general position in search engines. (My site is 3rd for 'mmorpg top100', 'mmorpg toplist', but only 14th for 'mmorpg list' and it is not in the first 900 for 'mmorpg')
After you got enough members, starts the 2nd phase, you can start the strong SEO, and try to make your site better placed. And that's all : as your site gets better and better places, the bigger games finds you worthy to join, and on a nice morning you wake up as your site is in the top 3 topsites, with millions of visitors monthly :)

Hi,

Due to the hardcore marketing, my site's visitor number tripled in a week. I got 178 members today, and still growing.

SEO marketing starts to work, today I stepped up a lot in google search.

I kkep work on the site.

Breakthrough continues

So, after the first success, the mmorpg toplist continues gathering members :)

At the moment I got 94 members, most of them are active, so the visitor's number is growing continously. Today was a record in visitors number.

Unfortnatelly GoogleBot is lazy this times, my support sites are still not indexed, and our new links are not discovered. (at least as the site did not step fore in the search list)

I registered to some new catalogues, hope it will help.

I started a new toplist site too, a whole other design, simple and beautyful design, the Free mmorpg toplist. Tomorrow I will start to gather members to that site too.

Lastly I find the key for break through !

I made a deep digging in the group of potential registered sites, and find a lot of addresses to post our 'invitation too mmorpg x top100' email !

The result of this is 26 new member, and a lot I waiting for. Hope we can reach the 100 members until weekend.

Today I worked a lot on the site :

- I worked on my mmorpg toplist's layout : finally made the designed vote gateway, soma smaller improvements like the footer links cut-out, the mmorpg's ranking score's background etc.
- I made the difference between the top10 sites, bigger font size, under the top 10 the smaller banner etc.
- I contacted dozens of mmorpg sites to invite them to join the toplist
- some catalogue registration

so, that was today's work, visitor's number is finally growing :)

Getting started

I start this blog to share my experiences about developing and marketing of MMORPG-X's child-site, the MMORPG TOP100.

As there is a big concurrency in TOP100-type sites, I need hardcore SEO marketing to make my site popular. This is our main problem to solve.

I'm over the first steps, yet I have 39 members on my site. Not every member put our link to his site. The core of SEO marketing of site is those sites who are join and put the backlink button on their site. That is why I need more members. 39 (okay, 36 because 3 sites are my own) seems to be far too low number to get any good position in google. I need more members, so first I try to contact all sites that already promote themselves in TOP100 pages.
